Vicky An is the Coordinator of Professional Development at Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). She oversees the Monarch Teacher Network of Canada (MTN of Canada) program, which runs a series of hands-on workshops for educators that focus on connecting people to nature through explorations of art and the monarch butterfly. Vicky began working in environmental education over nine years ago as the coordinator for an outreach program at a national conservation organization for kids. Since then, she has developed and delivered programs that engage people of all ages in environmental learning and action. Vicky's work with monarch butterflies has been one of the most fascinating aspects of her career in conservation education to date, and she continues to be inspired by their incredible story. Vicky lives in Toronto with her partner, Philip, and their brown tabby cat.
