Science Educator, Project NestWatch Coordinator, Bird Studies Canada

Liza Barney

As a Science Educator at Bird Studies Canada, Liza spends most of her time indulging in nature. She has pursued her passion for the natural world through both scientific research and education. She has a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Winnipeg and a M.Sc. in Biology from the University of Western Ontario. Liza discovered the value of combining research and education as a tool for promoting awareness, conservation and general environmental stewardship quickly and so also pursued an education degree from Althouse at the University of Western Ontario. Liza thinks that birds are a wondrous and fascinating gateway into the natural world!
