Joyce Chau did not let her allergies to plants and animals get in the way of her passion for the environment! She has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Queen’s University, where she took many field courses in ecology, ornithology and entomology. Joyce has been working in the environmental not-for-profit sector for the past 10 years. Her expertise lies in project management, fundraising, partnership development, education, citizen science and community-based monitoring. Joyce has successfully led community education projects and citizen science monitoring programs across southern Ontario. She is actively engaged in numerous environmental committees including the Biodiversity Education and Awareness Network (BEAN) Steering Committee; Southern Ontario Stream Monitoring and Research Team; and advisor to the Small Change Fund, a national charity that matches donors to grassroots projects across Canada through online giving.
