Erica Nickels is an Outreach Education Instructor with Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA). She is part of a team of educators who develop and deliver free curriculum-linked conservation education programs in classrooms and green spaces throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Erica also coordinates the Yellow Fish Road™ program, a trademark program of Trout Unlimited Canada. Yellow Fish Road™ is an action-oriented experience that engages children and adults in painting yellow fish above storm drains and delivering educational flyers to raise community awareness of storm water pollution. An educator by trade and an explorer by nature, Erica is passionate about connecting city dwellers with the urban wilderness, and can often be found in her free time tracking wildlife and scouting out the best berry patches in Toronto's ravines.
