David Gordon

David Gordon has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and has been teaching environmental science, biology and cooperative education in Pickering, Ontario, for 25 years. He ran a unique, two credit program combining environmental science and cooperative education for 10 years, engaging students in regional debates about the impacts of land use on water quality and making extensive use of Ecospark developed protocols.  He served on EcoSpark’s Board of Directors for eight years (spending two years as Chair) and has presented at conferences sponsored by OSEE, STAO and the Ministry of Education.  He is currently working at Dunbarton High School, where he coordinates the school’s Specialist High Skills Major in Environment program and manages to keep up with his environment council students, who insist on doing so many greening activities that the school has been certified Platinum under Ontario EcoSchools.
